Hello! I really need help identifying the history of these pieces. Over the course of the last few years, I have become the repository for family heirlooms. These two pieces were my Great-Grandmothers. She was born in Milwaukee in 1900 and maintained connections with her father's family in Germany. I have inherited other pieces of china from her, including Hutschenreuther plates. The pieces I have posted images of here have been incredibly hard for a porcelain novice like myself to identify. If anyone could help me identify backstamps or provide approximate dates or locations of origin, that would be immensely helpful.
The first one looks like a simpler version of the beehive backstamp Germany, then the script looks to me like Umbria, in Italy, so that's no help at all!
The second plate is probably a blank from Germany or Japan and has been hand painted. The signature is the painter's, and it is probably a craft piece, not factory.
