Hey! This belonged to my great-great-grandfather and I’m trying to figure out what it is. The inside is heavily modified, as he turned it into his woodworking toolbox, but the outside is untouched by the looks of it. The company listed in the second photo (though hard to read in that photo) is USA Excelsior Stamford Conn, but I cannot find the exact model this is online. The tools in the box are from the early 1900s, I’d say they were bought in the 1910s, which makes me think this box is from then too. I’d appreciate any help you can give. This toolbox is a family heirloom of sorts and I’d like to know all I can about it and what’s inside. Thank you!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE show us a pic or two more of the stuff *in* this box?!!!!
I’m sorry but I will not be showing the inside of the box. I keep the tools private and it’s too much work to take them all out and organize them back in (so not even the bare inside of the box will be shown). Sorry fellas.
