I'd been seeing this vase on eBay AU for a few months on & off...but couldn't quite make up my mind.
It was recently relisted at a lower price & I decided to take a chance on it...& now I'm very pleased indeed!
The vase is made from deep emerald green glass with a fine pulled loop decor, & measures 19 cm tall, 8 cm across the polished top rim & 9 cm across the base. It has a simple & elegant form, rather minimal, & oddly redolent of a scientific flask.
It was sold as possibly by Rindskopf, but I haven't been able to find anything with the same shape (although the decor seems like one of theirs).
Beautiful! It is an unusual shape, but the teal green color and feathering is Rindskopf. You have such a great eye, Marin!
It's a great size and shape but the decor is what gets me. Nice combo of colours, great feathering.
Many thanks, Michelle - that is so kind of you to say so!
I looked through a huge amount of images of Rindskopf vases & couldn't find a shape like it...even though the decor seemed like one of theirs...
Thanks also, Karen...yes, it's a very attractive piece, was thrilled when I unwrapped it...way better than the photos suggested, which is always good!
