Hi. Can anyone tell me what kind of hat this is? I picked it up at a garage sale because I thought it was cool. It’s leather and has braiding and buttons with an anchor. Maybe just a generic hat but thought I’d ask. The man who sold it had no idea any kind of history. Thanks!
Looks like a motorcycle cap based on the Greek captains hats that were popular some time back.
I agree. Looks like a WWII hat, but military stuff is almost always marked with labels.
Look at Greek fisherman's hat. The anchor and filigree was throwing me off.
