This is a 7 1/2" dish in uranium/marigold? carnival glass which I've identified from the replacements.com site as being the "Heavy Grape" decoration by Imperial Glass Ohio, I haven't yet found the pattern name or number.
one reference list this as #700; Imperial often did not give a pattern name and this is most often given the AKA of Heavy Grape and sometime the addition of Flute to designate the exterior pattern. Colors with carnival glass are often designated by the base color of the glass; the reference noted this as amethyst. Not sure but one catalog noted one of the amethyst based carnival colors by Imperial with their name 'Azur' which is described as "A very brilliant iridescent effect. on a dark amethyst glass. All colors of the rainbow such as: yellow, green, rose, combine in this treatment.
Thanks very much TallCakes, I've added another photo of the dish, as you can see the base colour and indeed the colour of the base is a deep emerald green and the added colour is a pale amber/marigold.
maybe it could be the color Imperial named 'Helios'; described as silvery iridescence on green glass... marigold is an orangey color on clear glass. many carnival glass collectors would probably just call it green...
Thanks again TallCakes, I'll investigate further.
It looks just like one I put on here around 2 years ago.
Just had a look Adele, I think you mean the one with "grape and cable" pattern.
