Seeing this scissors an a table at a yard sale, I couldn't help noticing the strange spring clamps on the blade. I had to purchase them because I had to find out why they had such a strange addition to the blades. After I got them home and looking them over good, I noticed a flower (rose) on the handle. Putting 2 plus 2 together, it became apparent that these are rose cutting scissors. The spring attachments on the blade are to hold the stem while the actual blade makes the cut, thus preventing the rose from falling after the slice.
Pretty cool never seen anything like it. Most of the flower scissors I've seen are little tiny pairs. I was curious so I did a quick search and I only found one pair of that was even similar. Good find.
This is amazing! I would’ve had no idea what they were for and I doubt I would have been smart enough to put two and two together! Great find and thanks for sharing… I am definitely tucking this into my mental collection of CW facts… I just hope it stays LOL
