I had this item shipped in from the UK last week and is a Australian Hand Blown Cassowary Figure which was made in Kuranda, Queensland, which is a small village in the rain forest, the Body of the Cassowary is supposed to resemble Opals which are found near the village.

Cassowarys are amazing I 've had the **** scared out of me when walking throught the coastal rainforest of North Queensland when I heard what sounded like a rocket or steam train racing towards me . It was a Cassowary going full tilt .
I think the Opals at Kuranda come from other places. I use to live there in the 1970's .
