I love elepant items also, nicely moulded !~
Whenever I see pink pressed glass I think of Depression era, the style of this makes me wonder if this is a reproduction.
Zachary is so CUTE! I love his adorable pink colour- actually I see peach and coral in it too which is often a vintage colour I think? I wonder where the name Zachary is from? Is he named after an actual little elephant or a person?
Many thanks for the love

Very kind compliment Phil, thank you so much! Yes the Boyd moulds were mostly very pretty, and they made a wide variety of animals and colors
Thank you Katherine for your great comment, yes this light pink color was pretty popular in EAPG glass and quite possibly this elephant was a repro from another co as many vintage glass co's sold off their moulds when they closed down. In this particular case, the Boyd Zachary elephant was made in March 1983 in light rose, which can be found on the Boyd Glass mould list online
Thanks Lauren for your fab compliments and yes, Zachary is the name for this pink elephant when they first made him & he does have a really pretty salmon color that you do see in older glass, it was a softer pink than more recent bubble gum shades. Boyd just loved to give their glass animals names, like Sonny the gorilla, Skippy the dog etc., maybe it made the animal more personal to the buyer like a pet, as I doubt they would want children buying them, you know? It does make you wonder though!
Always grateful for the love everyone

'Pinky' is one cool elephant!
Thanks iggy for the great comment & love, I was thinking about pink elephants and googled them, seems when you are "seeing" them you're either hallucinating or drunk (or both) - I am neither yet lol, though with the covid restrictions one is tempted! Think I'll just hang out with my glass animals for now :))
