Mexican Pottery Owl Whistle
Made in Mexico
When you blow into the tailpiece it makes a wonderful realistic owl sounding who sound.
This piece has sat in the house since I was a child. It is souvenir pottery that you would purchase while on vacation.
Even in the daylight it's very hard to take pictures of because the clay is so black, it's like a black hole.
Very special and fun!
I also have a little clay bird that is a whistle...I’ve never known anything about it’s origins. ...maybe Mexico also.
I'm amazed how they can make this figure and then just put a couple holes in it and get a realistic sounding owl.
At night here I often here owls hooting and it is so wonderful.
This is cool, beautiful burnished black clay, lovely owl shape, and it hoots!
