One of my Flea Market Finds today Saturday 09/26/2020 is this Brass and Resin Choker Necklace in a Greek Hippie/Boho Style! I got it from Keith, who normally sales every few months in Berkeley, California, so it was nice to see him bring some things to our local Flea Market in Concord, a more select group of things to Sale quick and go, before the near 100 temps forecasted for the next 4 days, peak, later this afternoon! I think I saw packed up and leaving around 8:30am when I left! :^D
The Necklace, maybe from the Oceanic Islands, and made from Aegean Brass, has a curved brass wire that connects with two reversed hooks bent into it to the hand made Brass and Resin art work. It's 4 5/8" wide, and 6 3/4" from back to the center tip of the V shaped Art piece!

Thank you for looking, all comments are welcome! :^D

Bill - It is good to see that you are still making those great deals at the Flea Market. I haven't done very much shopping or looking since my move to Oregon but I plan to get right back to the thrill of thrift. Lori

This is what I have collected in regard to these pieces. FYI that silvery iridescent color is by far the most beautiful. That shape was quite common. lots of oval pendants on brass tubes and wire wrapped closures. My first one was the same color palette as your but a 2" x 1.5" oval, I switched it to a brutalist brass chain I had and I wear it all the time.
      quotes are second hand info.

“I was told that these were sold at the hippie meccas in Greece in the 1970s.”

“Though unsigned, they were made by a collective of Greek jewelers from the 1970s. They originally had paper labels. “Handmade in Greece - DEL”

Seen the label, got one with it.

Variations on the story I’ve found most commonly

      - collective of artists sold them to hippies who sold them to tourists.
      - a hippie commune made them and sold them to tourists (metalsmithing is not easy, seems unlikely)
      - sold to tourist all over Greece in the 70"

I think that a collective of Jewellers or DEL, made them in the 70’s likely in their spare time so that they could sell them to hippies who were tourists at “hippie Meccas”

Imagine having a bunch of those at a music festival like Woodstock or something, they would have sold out for sure if even a 1/4 of the crowd had ever looked at a psychedelic in their life.

Which leads me to the lovely lady I bought a bracelet from. Definitely gave off hippie-like vibes. Although this is one of the latter references I have found for them. I wish she had gotten his name.....

Also quite interesting is you do come across pieces where the brass work is very 80’s or once almost western, a grey key once, its completely different anyway. The fused glass technique carried on, for different members of the collective in different ways it seems to me.

“TRIBAL Stone & Fused Glass on Brass Circle, Handmade Greek OOAK 1980s
“In the 1980s I found this metal craft artist at one of the High-end Craft trade shows I was attending.?I purchased 3 necklaces and 4 Bracelets.this is one bracelet from that group ( the last of everything I purchased).?This incredibly well-made piece caught my eye. TRIBAL, Industrial Powerful Handcrafted round Top Bracelet and a unique One of a kind Art Glass & stone inlay Piece!!!?He used lots of mixed metals and fused glass that looked like the nebula and Space asteroids!?The closure is a hook on one side?Gorgeous timeless Goddess piece, ARCHETYPAL Tribal Shapes.?It is a beautiful and substantial piece of ART. never signed and I can't remember his name!”

I can share some pics if you want by email. I dont think I can insert pics here...
