Japanese Silk Bonsai - Shadow Boxes
These shadow boxes another example of my mother's silk Bonsai work. She would spend hours and hours watching TV or listening to the TV while doing bonsai. It's very time-consuming and meticulous work.
She was always telling people, that she was only 1 of 2 silk bonsai masters in North America, the other person being her teacher. I'm not really sure about all that, we never questioned her about it?
When I get around to finally posting up the pictures of her flower work, you may be convinced. it is very impressive. That's a sneak preview in the foreground.
I think we need another subsection for this type of artwork. And can we get the photo editor fixed on this site so we don't have any more sideways pictures, its annoying?
These have always fascinated me.
Thanks. Pictures don't do them justice. Their very realistic looking in person.
just lovely dave..
Thank you...mom was a very talented lady. She also painted and was a master of Senryu(Japanese poetry). I'll get some pictures of her silk bonsai...that is some impressive stuff!
