Two little pots and a figural head. I got them at Goodwill, so I have no history of them. Because of the numbers on them, I am concerned that they were part of a cataloged collection, and maybe had been stolen?
All I can tell you is that they are not Native American pottery. The little black pot may be Mexican, from Oaxaca, or from farther south in Central America or even South America.
The colors and little wavy-line decoration of the center bowl are characteristic of tourist ware from Chiapas, Mexico.
The head has the distinctive round ear decorations associated with the ancient Mayan culture, but can't be dated based only on the photo.
All three are probably tourist or souvenir items, from the 20th century.
