This is a beautiful art nouveau lamp which is unwired and has an agate base. My question is you see the green hue and then look at the bottom. What base metal was used and was this "bronzed" ( not solid bronze) and what would that mean? Base metal with a wash or copper with a bronzed wash over that? Any help appreciated. It is markd "France" but I cannot find any specific makers mark.

Looks like “spelter” or white metal which is a mixture of mostly zinc and other soft metals. Used commonly in lamps and lesser figurines in the late 1800’s and up to now.
