It's happened several times when I noted that the specific American glass producer Tiffin had glassware that was mistaken for Czechoslovakia glass.
What were the confusing aspects? The shapes, the satin finish, the colors, and the sometimes enameled decors. My 4th article for the All About Glass magazine published by the West Virginia American Glass Museum and it's editor Tom Felt, is being printed for this month's quarterly issue.
The article had to contain many images to show my point of view. Here having four opportunities, I can only show a few of the specific pieces I had in mind.
1 & 2: The Tiffin emerald green satin glass with daisy enamel application, in the full range of this pattern's pieces.
3 & 4: The Czech corresponding items, in bowls, lidded jars, and vases.
With permissions, BB catalogs from Tom Felt, Truitt Volume II from D. Truitt, and my own collection pieces.
That a great post!
