The history museum has the trade catalogs. Try contacting them and asking them for information. I've had good luck using this method.

What does the label say on the inside of the drawer?

I uploaded a couple of pictures of the inside of the center drawer. The label reads as follows:
INSTRUCTIONS TO OPERATE LOCK
The drawers in each pedestal of this desk are locked by the center drawer; therefore, to open same it is necessary that all of the pedestal drawers must be pushed back as far as possible, and then pull center drawer out about one inch, thereby releasing the locking device on the pedestal drawers, which can be readily opened.
