Sorry that the pictures are sideways, but this is a special fish flower holder from McCoy!
Why is it special? First off, it is painted under the glaze, something I've never seen on one of these. They are always matte colors or glossy white, never painted. This passed the reproduction test as it is the right height at 3 and a quarter inches.
Another unique feature is the air-brushed colors. Since the colors are not of the 40s, this is likely an early 50s piece, which is correct being made in both decades. It features a black spray on the front, and a brown spray on the back. Air-Brush decoration is rare on McCoy.
Typically they are marked NM USA, but being a 50s piece they weren't marked at the time.
I paid a buck for it today and it is my best investment to date!

What a fantastic find !
Really happy for you McCoy!
Thank you! I believe they call these "Lunch hour pieces" because employees would sometimes decorate one for themselves during their lunch break.
