This post was removed for a sale, and is now returned permanently.

This is the most impressive glass work tooled decorations I have ever owned, the effect is so perfect that you doubt it is all done by hand, and not by the pressed glass approach.

I have images where you can compare and see for yourself the slight differences in decor at the same spot on each vase, not marked, measures 7,5 inches high. The wild flowers are the dog rose (canina rosa) on bush branches in the spring.

I really do not know very much (like Vetraio50) about glass except how to find a fake Murano :) but I googled it and am attaching a link. Hope it helps...

Hello TOD, I’m very uninformed on fancy glasswork so I enjoy reading your posts and those of other experts on CW. Therefore, I can contribute nothing about your beautiful prices except this observation: I’m not seeing dogwood blossoms, leaves or branches here (I have many of those trees). I’m seeing thorns along all the branches, long stamens, “saw-tooth”-like edges on the leaves, and 5 petals on a flower....dogwoods that I’ve ever seen have none of those features. I think some other flower might be depicted there.

Sorry...meant to say “pieces”, not “prices”! :-)

WS, I had posted these vases with a German botanical drawn example of the flower and branch with leaves, a matching one. I remember the German name had the word for dog. I need to find this image again and show it.

I'm glad you mentioned it, as I am not a botanical expert, and I may have given the wrong name.

Yes, an incomplete name now that I looked it up, it is Rosa Canina in Latin, the Dog Rose wild flower. Here is the botanical view:

Are the vases stained green or are they cased ???

I had an idea it might be a variety of rose with a “simple” flower form. I’m not familiar with Dog Roses so I’ll enjoy reading up on that one.
Thanks for that link to it!
