      A Kukri.

      Nepali kukri Gurkha knife.

Probably not a kukri used by the Ghurkas. Their knives were usually not this fancy. This one looks to be more decorative. The kukri was/is a common tool used by Nepalis and Indians. I have several military issue kukris and they are generally plain, with no decoration.

Even dress Ghurka kukris don't look like yours. What are the dimensions, blade length, handle length, etc.?

I agree with KWQD. It is not a Gurkha military knife, but is typical of what one sees in the tourist markets in Kathmandu, Nepal.
