I got this original Hasbro Transformers "Astrotrain" in a cardboard sleeve. It was part of a toy collection I purchased. The guy I got the collection from told me he had a relative that worked at Hasbro in the 1970-80's. Has any one ever see one packaged like this? He told me he thought it was packaged like this because it was part of a mail in promo that Hasbro ran with the original Transformers series.
It will overheat if you try to use it while in the box.
