Another older Matchbox with the gray wheels. This model had no variations and was only in the catalog for three years. It is the second Matchbox model #17. The first was a slightly smaller version of this. Looked the same but this was a different casting.
In the early days they had advertising for themselves on their vehicles. This is "Matchbox Removals Service". I believe the next one was Pickfords which is an actual company. That one is larger and has an actual roll up rear door.
Most Matchbox models have printing on the underside of the base, name, model number and so on. This one has it inside the cargo area. But all I see is Lesney and Matchbox. The rest is probably in there somewhere.
For next week I found some boxes for some of my Matchbox cars. Box is in the name after all.
