Hello, I am just posting this as I found a real close image I think anyway of Tom Horn . Its a larger size tintype like 4-5 " . Anyway thought maybe any wild west enthusiasts may enjoy this , I noticed the scar on the right and so I did a quick transparent layover ,I am no expert so it does look bad but it seemed that some things just popped in . well the first image is my tintype. the second is a side by side kinda with an original of Tom Horn , anyway shoot it out there , Thanks for looking ,
Do you have documented provenance or is the photo marked in some manner?
If not, I say NOPE.

I asked 2 questions and then provided my opinion along with a previous posting on this type of item.

Thank you , Yeah my photos were quite bad also ,the two pics blended I took a photo of the computer screen because I could not get them downloaded so they are grainy , also when I tried blending the head of the original Tom Horn Is kind of distorted from original. I bought that tintype at an antique store when I was out picking about 3 years ago at a small shop outside of Bigstone SD . Usually these types of photos are in a collection and with a family ,so I just bought it . I have know intention of Misguiding anyone to believe it is ToM Horn , I watched a episode of the Legends of America the day before I posted this and I thought Man My tintype looks like that guy , I understand all about provenance and ..... this is just for entertainment and hey why not look in this guys eyes and think is that you TOM HORN .lol good day and thanks for comments .
There is nothing but controversy surrounding the "Billy the Kid croquet" image-- don't believe it sold and still a large contingent of naysayers.

At the bottom is a portion titled "SAGE ADVICE", which reflects (in the shortest terms) the problems with the attribution.

I remember seeing the tv show and waiting for the "smoking gun" that proved the image was Billy the Kid.
A smoking gun was never presented!
At the time I was at an antique show and the tv show was a topic of conversation the next day. All of the dealers that I talked to were of the same opinion-- the evidence presented didn't prove the image authentic.
