I am not a Coca-Cola or a sign expert. But let's take a look ...
5 cent coke - available 1886-1959
Coke logo with trademark in tail - 1887-1890
1890-1891 logo changed, script different
During 1903 “trademark registered started to appear within the swooping tail of the Coca-Cola’s first “C” letter. The reason for this change was in accordance with new laws that required companies to have to re-register their trademarks. The word “DRINK would also start to appear in the mid 1920s above the logo mainly in signage and advertisements.
During 1941 Coca-Cola removed the tail “C” trade mark notification and started placing it directly underneath the logotype.
the beginning of the early 1950s the trademark had been simplified to state “Trade-mark ®”
According to the script on your sign this would have to date it between 1903 and 1931.
1930 ish to 1940 said "trademark reg. US Pat off" in tail.
A quick test can be done with a magnet. Before the 1950s there was no aluminum based porcelain signs. A lot of the newer fake signs use aluminum.
In the picture I don't see any mounting holes whatsoever? How would the sign ever been mounted?

All we can do here is look at a picture of your sign and try to determine what year and if it looks correct. You will have to look at it with the known facts and try to decide.

At the suggestion of Dav2not1 I tried the magnet and it stuck. WC any info on the differences with your sign would be greatly appreciated
Definitely a modern copy, have seen many of these around. There was an original of this sign, it's considered very rare. This one is listed in Petretti's on page 608, size 12"x36" tin embossed, well made, but phony.
Pickr are you 100% sure?
pickrknows is correct, this is a 1970's reproduction. Dozens of these in mint condition have been in the market, they usually sell in the 150-200 range. One collector who was had these in bulk recently claimed they were manufactured by Robertson-Dualife Sign Co. in 1978 during the nostalgia craze of that time. Not authorized by Coca-Cola so were intended to be destroyed, but many turned up in an old building storage unit years later.
Well that's not the answer I was hoping for but you win some and you lose some. I bought it at a flea market and the seller told me it was original. Thanks to everyone who provided information. You guys are true experts.
humbling education
I've never seen an original in anyone's collection. There are a lot of collectors who display this repro, it's a great sign, high quality. It's unique in that respect. Appreciate it for what it is. I have an old photo, will post it.
