I found this fairy lamp dome on my birthday in April 2018...& have recently acquired a base of the correct size to complete it.
Collecting fairy lamps tends to be a long game...the majority of mine have been found as orphan parts - mostly domes, sometimes bases. Finding spare parts of the right shape & size can be a challenge, but immensely satisfying when a correct match is achieved.
I still have numerous fairy lamp parts in need of matching pieces, & thus, the search continues...
Both dome & base were made in England, circa 1880s.
Result !!!! Beautiful, and so satisfying.
Both compete for the for the “Most Beautiful” title in my mind! They deserve each other!!
These lamps would look so gorgeous with a candle scattered through your garden. Magical.
Thanks so much, Peggy - yes, it's satisfying indeed to make up fairy lamps from spare parts, & well worth the effort...which is rather fun "effort" anyway!
Many thanks, Patricia! They're a match made in heaven, aren't they?
Great idea, Karen...sounds perfect for the upcoming festive season!
Wow this must look amazing when you have a candle burning!
