I was just thing that my title probably looks like random words to someone who doesn't know what it is. Actually it looks like a bunch of keywords. Oh well on with the exciting description.
This is made by Johnny Lightning and is based on the 1969 Dodge Charger Funny Car owned by Mr. Norm. I say based as the paint doesn't match and I think the body is the wrong year. I couldn't find a photo of an original that matches. The decals are correct.
Mr. Norm owned Grand Spaulding Dodge and he was his own sponsor. Gary Dryer was the driver. Mr. Norm has been involved with high performance since the early 1960s. Pretty sure he is retired now.
The model shows how the original funny cars actually looked like a production car even though it was a fiberglass shell. In the last photo is a modern funny car and you can see they allow much more leeway in the allowable body shape. That could be based on smart car as far as I know. Special guest appearence by the Little Red Wagon because it is cool.

Funny cars are getting funnier as times goes on. The colours of this Mr Norm one are nicely outrageous.
And the little red wagon cheers everyone up, every time.

Thank you very much Hoot60. There is none who can resist it.

Thank you very much racer4four. I should get a larger scale version of the Wagon.
