I bought this Tacony Dial-N-Sew at a yard sale and instantly fell in love with it. It still works and has the original foot petal. It looks like it has barely ever been used. The only problem is I cannot find any information on it whatsoever. Any insight would be helpful!
I have never hear of a Tacony Dial-N-Sew . However it appears to be the type of machine that could have been made in Japan . Have you looked under the bed of the machine along the front edge ? It could have some information there or on the underside of the machine itself .
It has a serial number but thats it... I believe it was made in Japan, but thats all I know, sadly.
Some machines made in Japan are very fine machines . Don't worry about it just enjoy it .
I have no doubts in the quality. It is made of very heavy metal and even after all this time all of the parts are still attached with none broken.. It is so beautiful to me, I just wish I had a story to it...
I got this msg back from Tacony :)
Thank you for contacting us. We have had many request’s for the Dial n Sew machine, and if that is what your’s is, we do not have anything for that machine any more. We did in fact distribute it years ago.. but so long ago, we no longer have access to the manufacturer.
If you can scan a picture of it, I’ll be glad to forward it to the person that would be able to identify it.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Ruesing

As you have discovered, Tacony was a retailer who bought this machine from a wholesaler and added their own name. This was (and is) a very common practice known as badging. The retailer may have changed suppliers several times over their period of selling and knowing the maker of one "Tacony" won't help with another one unless they're identical. There may be clues to the maker under the machine - are there any letters or numbers stamped into the base?
Hi I am commenting on the above picture of the sewing machine it looks like an old dressmaker mark II 752 sewing machine.do you know where i might be able to find one. thanks
I still have it :)

okay just go to http://www.ebay.com and then in the search bar just type in sew n dial manual for model 432.if you need any other help please free to ask for help.good luck.i have a dial n sew model 752 I am thinking it may be the same manual let me check this out then I will let you know.
I also have a Dial & Sew. I bought it from a repair shop, and it came with a manual, However the machine shown is not the same as mine. The manual does not specify what model it represents and no information on the model number it covers. The knob on my tension fell off and I can't fix it. There is no information on fixing the tension. I have information on Singers etc. and maybe that will help.
There are several groups on facebook who specialize in old sewing machines. If you were to post on Vintage Sewing Machines (non-Singer) they could help you. https://www.facebook.com/groups/821555271188096/
One member is exceptionally good at finding the manuals for machines. Many are posted in the files section. You cannot go by the name, you have to look at them for a machine that looks like yours. Some member may be able to tell you just be looking at your picture. Good Luck.
tgiddens06 -- You have a Model 752 Dial-n-Sew Sewing Machine - a high quality, all metal sewing machine. Tacony Corporation in St. Louis, MO, was an importer of this sewing machine from Japan. This machine was probably from 1970. It uses 15 x 1 needles, 15 class bobbins, 15 class bobbin case, 15 class hook. You could go to any independent sewing machine dealer and get these parts. You could ask them if they could get you a manual. Tacony Corporation is the largest supplier of sewing machine parts in the USA. I would write them, again, with this new information on your machine. The parts are similar to other machines of this time period. Parts should still be available. Ask Tacony, again, if they have a manual for the Model 752 Dial-n-Sew. I know you wrote your comment years ago, but I thought you might be interested in this information.
tgiddens06 -- I also wanted to add that the Dial-n-Sew Sewing Machine was a product of Tacony Corporation and the trade name/trade mark was owned by Tacony. It was not a part of "badging," as mentioned in an earlier comment. This sewing machine was quite popular in its day.

Some of the Dial and Sew machines may be found on this site.
And while the Dial and Sew name might have been trademarked by Tacony, they didn't make the machines, but badged them with that name. The machines were in some cases made by White, and might be found under Universal, Dressmaker or several other names.
I have this same machine and have had it for years and love it and I also have the manual for it. The only problem is trying to get replacement parts for it. I am having trouble with the bobbin winder and need help in putting it back together. If anyone has this machine would appreciate a picture of the the bobbin winder attached to the top inside of the machine and emailing it to me and if anyone has questions about the machine just email me.
I've just become the new owner of a Dial & Sew model 1704 serial 4216. It runs beautifully as far as I can tell. I need help because I'm not sure how to thread or what some of the functions are.
Hi, knittmom77. :-)
Your best bet for help on a machine like that is probably the vintage sewing machine group on Facebook (I think it's the same group that was linked above, because of the Teena mention, but it's under new management):
https://www.facebook.com/groups/VintageSewingMachines/
At last report, Teena was maintaining a digital library of close to one thousand vintage sewing machine manuals.
Alternately, the International Sewing Machine Collectors' Society (ISMACS) has a vintage sewing machine group on groups.io:
https://groups.io/g/ISMACSDigest
Then there is the forum at quiltingboard dot com (they are very knowledgeable):
https://www.quiltingboard.com/sendmessage.php
Good luck. :-)
keramikos: Thank you! I'll check it out.
knittmom77, You're welcome. :-)
While cleaning out my parents house a few weeks, I took my Grandmother’s old sewing machine. I was googling for any info I could find, and I came across this post. My machine still has the manual. If anyone in this very old thread still needs a manual, I would be happy to share. I can scan it and email it to anyone who’d like a copy. I think the manual said model 752. Even if your model is different, I’m sure there will be similarities. Just let me know.
berly4bama, I would very much like a copy of that manual. Mine has a different model number, but I think it still might help. My email is sonicminionmom6@gmail.com
I will do my best to get it scanned tomorrow at work and send it to you.
Thank you!!!
Knittmom77, I just emailed that manual. I’m so sorry it took my two weeks longer than I thought!! I hope this helps.
berly4bama is there anyway you can email me a copy of the manual for the dial and sew 752? Thank you very much in advance.
