This may be a Kangxi piece, but i haven't asked yet. Obvious damage to this one. I'm going to try to fix it though, but only with something i can un-do. I LOVE Bencharong style. i have a bunch of them - mostly pretty new though. Bencharong is Chinese porcelain made for the Thai market. It is known for some pretty spectacular colors and repetitive designs.

captivating this is not kangxi this is one of the hybrids, this is pre Bencharong, but not the Kangxi or yongzheng Bencharong. This got Qianlong tendencies , but not latey , i think this is good the pinpoint , it lackes late Yongzeng tendencies, and it lackes late Qianlong tendencies
Probably around 1750-1770 because its a coffeerim and fu scene ( fu are rare in pre bencharong)
good quality and good value even with damage

Not sure if this is a candidate for kintsugi, or not. Kintsugi has somewhat changed my attitude about how I deal with damaged pottery and glass and even what I buy.....

i am not an expert on kintsuge but nowadays it,s is quite common a bit damage on porcelain and it,s not an trough and trough, it won,t linger probably , think it,s still good enough

Thank you very much apostata! you really do know your Chinese ceramics! i should have put simply 18th c Pre-Bencharong, which is what i bought it as from Freek. Thanks kwqd for your comment. I love older Kintsugi and have thought about using it on some pieces too. But this one is not broken, it just has some glaze missing. I'm slowly painting in where it's missing. I'll post the results if i keep them.
