Back in 1967 I bought a Montgomery Wards motorcycle called "Riverside" in came in a crate from the Italian motorcycle manufacture Benelli. It had a 250cc motor and I paid something like $550.00. I kept the bike for 10 years and then bought a Norton.

I hope you got the girls too!
As with most Italian bikes of that period, it was a very pretty thing.

The bike is a beaute, and I love the ad too, owners manual looks pristine also. I love Norton bikes also, a good friend had one.

Thank you racer4four and PhilDMorris, It was a nice looking motorcycle, but looked for a bike with more horse power. The Norton was a 500cc and later I bought a 750cc Honda Sabre in 1985.

Nice bike. I never had an Italian bike. I've had British, German, Japanese and American bikes. Not sure why I never had an Italian bike. I think I rode in the wrong circle as I can't recall any of my riding buddies having one.... I really liked the Nortons and Triumphs.
