UNITED STATES of AMERICA flags

As hinted at in a previous post a few weeks ago which, sadly, one or two (maybe for good reason?) almost took offense with (but the Mods didn't delete, for their own reasons which us mere CW members might not ever understand?) I am otherwise now pleased to show some of my other USA flags, which I also proudly own because I (again) simply believe I'm blessed to be able to have my little spot on Planet Earth to pile my stuff up in, within the USA, where we all can still mostly enjoy our freedoms to disagree about other stuff, together, with the rest of our friends that likewise inhabit this spinning rock in space. :-) :-) :-)

The first 3 pics are all official full size "military issue" flags, that in turn represent the lives of three now departed "in-laws" of mine, none of who I ever had the pleasure to meet nor personally thank (nor even know their names?) for their service. I also kinda regret that I don't have the proper 'shadowbox' frames to display them in, though I remain ridiculously happy to have had the privilege to actually recover all three from the 'cleanout house #1', where if I didn't, they all otherwise got WAY too close to being just so much more cotton fabric in a curbside trashpile bag. <nonono> Not quite as "wrong" is that, once I did find 'em there and saved 'em, I wasn't quick enough to keep my partner from sorta unceremoniously loading them into the clothes washer/dryer...they probably did need that, but again, as other contributors to my other showing have shared, I also know that's not really the proper way to treat the Flag, esp. ones that once adorned caskets of deceased military service members.

Oh well, here they are, for this day or two *after* Thanksgiving. The last pic BTW is a little mashup of more flags in my house, none really as meaningful as the three big ones should be -- the little two of those are actually just the common things meant to clip onto car windows, that I've stopped/turned around/whatever to pick up roadside, where they'd otherwise busted off of somebody else's car/truck, and where I couldn't quite just leave 'em laying there in the gutter/shoulder once I spotted them. The larger one in that last pic is just another typical 'nylon' (?) example, it is actually now hanging in front of one more of the same size (both only partially seen) which is much older, lots more dirty/distressed/fragile, but otherwise came from my own childhood family home where I myself probably raised it to the top of Dad's flagpole many times. Even as a kid, I helped him dig the hole to install that flagpole... :-)
