I made a donation today and while I was there someone donated this lamp. I had a fit! I parked the car and went inside and pleaded my case and they priced it and I brought it home.

Right place -- right time -- WAY COOL old lamp -- I woulda also chased it into the store and pitched a fit until they sold it to me!!! <> LOL:-) :-) :-) :-)
Always resort to pleading when it is such a great lamp :-) ! Great find lucky day
Thanks Anything and Manikin for the comments! I told my wife that I would like to work at goodwill. I would not ask for money but just my pick of the stuff that comes through. At the end of the day my pile would be bigger than goodwill and they would let me go:)
I've often pondered the possible (if not also sorta way dangerous, for one like me?) fun of the same kinda 'part-time job' Cokeman, but I've never really checked into it because I bet they have a whole host of "official rules and regulations" that would mostly prohibit it, even if offered in return for 'free work hours'...?? SAVER'S stores where they still exist (RIP the two we once had here, I miss both dearly) I know for a fact has similar policies...I *did* ask a manager there, once upon a time ago... <giggle>
[and OTOH, I've also been thinking slightly too seriously about my own potential future in coming days/years...which could indeed (if I could pull it all off?) include some little storefront 'curiosity/junk shop", where I certainly wouldn't have to set any such rules for myself...my partner and friends are even starting to develop their own good lookout eyes for me in that regard...?? <LOLOL>]
Anything...I am with you! I would so love to have a junk store and know I could get up everyday and go to it and tell people about things and people do the same for me. Good Luck with your vision!
I love looking at these and the differences that Candians used different colours or variances for the glass and different decoration to some of the chrome metal pieces, just got another one today mainly for better condition pieces I need !~
PhilD….These lamps in my area are not as available as they used to be. I think other folks have discovered the beauty of them. I paid $3.99 for this one and use it almost everyday in the living room. They are incredible! Appreciate you!
