The John Deere Tractor and John Deere Trailer were MB 50 and MB51 respectively, they were sold separately. The model was introduced in 1964 and sold through 1968. The unusual feature here are the gray/grey wheels. Not exactly sure how long it was sold with the gray wheel but I am thinking only 1964/1965.
The trailer is a tipper and comes with 3 barrels. One of the Special guest stars here is the black wheel version. Both are demonstrating their tipping trailers so you can see both views at once. The other guest stars are the Ford tractor MB 39 and Hay Trailer MB40. The version of the tractor here is the one sold with the King Size Tractor Transporter.
Next week will be a tea van so it shall be quite classy and you shall want to be here for that.
Very cool! I never knew that Matchbox made farm toys. My oldest son had a lot of Ertl farm toys as a kid. We still have those all stored away.
Thank you very much Scott. They make several farm vehicles.
Great tractor sets, but what's in the barrels?
Thank you very much racer4four. Sadly the barrels have no bottoms and are empty.
