Such a cutie!
Love him- the pose is so dynamic! A very typical (but lovely!)pose for a seal when depicted in arts/sculpture, and his lovely rhinestones and glittery ball make him stand out! He almost looks dolphin like with that tail
What a cute little seal!
Thank you very much everyone for the love

Thanks MrsT for your super kind compliment, this seal is really quite the cutie and seems very active, reminds me of those aquatic ladies in water ballets, all that twisting!
Thanks Lauren for the fantastic praise, I love this little guy too he's got a lot of versatility no matter which direction you put him! Yes quite like a dolphin showing off at a pool exhibition, very dynamic & the rhinestone touches are so sparkling
Scott thank you for the lovely compliment I am truly glad you found this little acrobat cute, if only we could get to a sea life park and see them for real - maybe by summer things will look brighter here's hoping
Thank you for the truly kind & fabulous compliments six-0-one, I feel rather undeserving but adore your super flattery and am humbly grateful. Likewise your collection is spectacular, just peeking at your profile pix you have so much more in your collection we are salivating to see, and you have excellent taste my friend. In my case, all I can attribute it to is my love for variety & trying to find good examples of designer pieces - sharing them with kind collectors like yourself is the best reward
Thanks Mary for your sweet compliment and great question. This particular Napier seal I have only seen in a 90s version, there is another same design currently on "estee" with a red rhinestone hoop & turquoise ball also with the 90s scripted mark. Napier made another different all-rhinestone circus seal standing on a drum, part of their 90s Starlight series which I also have, punch in Napier seal brooch in CW search box to see that one. There was one other documented Napier seal design, a plainer style from the 80s, which can be seen in the illustrated Napier Co book by Melinda Lewis that shows most of their animal brooch designs from the 1950s onward
The range of postures available just by turning the brooch is wonderful!
Karen you've caught one of my secrets - if something has an animated pose, I try to move it around to best pic advantage :) This seal was easy because he is really diving & seems to evoke the real ones doing their acrobatics at the water park shows, I do miss attending those esp the ones with the parrots pedaling cycles, talking etc. Thanks for your super comment & love I am always so very grateful
Many thanks dlpetersen for the love and appreciation, I am very grateful and happy that you enjoyed this Napier seal
Maureen thank you very much for all your kind loves today, it was so nice of you to visit my prior posts as they bring back good memories for me. I will get around to individual thank yous on each one in the upcoming days, I'm always grateful for your thoughtful appreciation it really means alot
