Here is a 3"H x 2 1-2"W cranberry glass kitten sitting on a pillow with the Boyd Glass B in diamond imprint on back base, ca 1979.
Also shown is the kitten inside my 69"H five shelf mahogany display cabinet, the second shelving piece in organization for my glass animal collection
Thanks for showing us the display too, I like to see how others display their treasures!
Very nice- love the glass cat( I almost mistook her for an owl in the thumbnail!) and also love seeing the second display cabinet which almost looks full too! :P It must be so fun filling them up I'd say :D
Love it! The display is great and the display cabinet is BEAUTIFUL!!
beautiful view on the third picture, so beautiful
looks like you let the whole zoo out to day... Jemmi ...

Thank you MrsT for your wonderful comment about my display cabinet, I know you had wanted to see that and I was so happy to finally get a couple tall pieces to house my ever-expanding glass animal collection. I agree, it is very nice to see where and how people display their treasures
Lauren yes I can see that with the pointy ears it would be easy to confuse kitty with an owl in the tiny photo! I had this kitten a long time but could not get a bright enough picture of its pretty cranberry color without a bit of sun, it comes out too dark under regular lighting (see its pic on the shelf in cabinet) so this time I had it close to a window. Glad you like the cabinet, and yes it's fun but challenging to fill it, I keep my favorites in this and my big display tower, other glass pieces are carefully cushioned in their bins for the time being. I have everything in a special collection room where I also do photography, it's a nice environment with reminders all around. Thanks for your awesome praise it's always so great & nice of you
Thanks Scott for the super compliments & I'm so glad you got to see one of my glass animal display cabinets, I also have a tall glass animal tower (that can be seen in the CW search box under Murano brown dolphin, as again I did not exclusively make a post about the tower just put it as part of a glass animal post - hate to be conceited about that stuff). It is really nice to have your collectibles in sight and not stored away, it actually does get to look like a zoo around here!
Thank you so much Kinki for the great compliments, very happy you enjoyed the shelving! On kitty's shelf are mostly animals I have posted, except for the beautiful coiled white snake in the back which is a Japanese glass gift from my good friend Karen who had made a gorgeous post of it
Thanks Alfred for your fabulous comment & the ytube link, I do believe I have quite the zoo going on lol :) I'm so glad that you enjoy my animal kingdom, it's a lotta fun with far less work than a real one!
So nice to see your display Jenni!
This kitten is gorgeous, that colour glass is so cool
Thanks Karen, really glad you liked both the kitten and cabinet - hope you noticed your beautiful white snake peeking out behind kitty :) As you can see, cabinet #2 already has issues of overcrowding, but I love all my critters and haven't been able to part with any yet. Lovely to hear from you & truly appreciate your kind praise and support
Thank you dlpetersen for the very kind love, it is so kind of you and greatly appreciated, glad you liked this kitten
Love this collection and display case!!!
vintagelamp thanks so much for finding this post & enjoying this display cabinet, I thought you would like the darker mahogany wood which is often found in the study of our favorite detective :) I really want a much larger carved wood and glass cabinet to hold more animals but they're kinda pricey, we'll see what my husband can manage at Christmas!
P.S. I've finally found a nice vintage glass dog to post in a couple weeks, and am working on ordering one of a breed I know you like, it's a rare one
Cannot wait to see the doggie!!!! Hope that you are doing well and good luck with the display cabinet!!!
Thanks again vintagelamp!!
Thomas & MissJlc4719, thank you very much for loving this little Boyd kitten, always grateful for your kindness
