The Southern Yacht Club out at West End in New Orleans
celebrated their 150th Anniversary with this cool metal pin
and I found one of their ship's flags to display along with it!
Does that mean it's time for a Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea?
I hope so, cause we're already on our way with this 1966 ViewMaster package!
This is one of the first ViewMaster reels I ever owned.
Maybe we'll run into Troy Tempest and the crew of Stingray while we're down there!
All ashore that's going ashore!
Anchors aweigh!

You can see Acadian's Bend from there.
Sippin' on Cokes and smokin' Marlboros on the dock
while watching the lazy boats going by at 3 in the morning.
The night music of dozens of ropes slapping against the metal masts in the nearby harbor sounds like an army of wind chimes gone mad.
Ground fog collecting in the hollowed-out bowls under the Azalea bushes,
looking like milky Earl Grey sloshing in slow motion in a teacup.
Hiding within the heavier fog and cruising the shadowy lanes of Lakeview
between the 1940s apartments feels like being in an old movie,
waiting for something or someone to appear suddenly out of the mist.
The lakefront is the coolest place for bicycles in the fog.
The best times!
I'm still there.
Thanks for the memories, Vynil.
