No Christmas in my house this year: Just my husband and myself. No tree, no lights, no decoration. And most of all, no Christmas music! I cannot stand the thought of it in an empty house.
Thanks to the marvelous handling of some really smart and foresighted individuals, we will have a Christmas to remember! I hate to say but I the phrase "I could have told you so" could have been used almost daily here. But enough, I will find another way to vent my frustration.
Here is how I have been using my free time: Old picture frames, left over fabric, some hooks....
Here is a selection of my necklaces: wood, Bakelite, Lucite, glass, amber, pressed amber, unknown plastic, celluloid.....
The good thing is that I can have a good look at them and easily decide which ones to wear.
I picked this location because it is located in a dark corner of my house without any direct sunlight.
Thanks for looking:)
Looking very nice with all the colors sorted . Yes this covid has us finding work to do :-)
My favorite is pic3, esp. the yellow 'cheese cube' necklace... :-) :-) :-)
I wish I could say I was only "bored" by the covid mess, and 2020 in general...
<groan><sigh> ...but we all's gotta just keep on keeping on despite it, somehow...?
Many thanks, Manikin. I have done pretty much everything I wanted to do. Now, I have only odd jobs left, like painting the living room. I hope that Covid wont last that long. I would rather spend the money and hire someone.
AnythingObscure, maybe boredom was not the right word to use. Some days it's more frustration. I spend most of my days alone with my husband in a big house in the Canadian winter. It sounds fine but there is so much I miss.
FRUSTRATION is likely a better word for me too. In my case I still have (what's left of) my job, which I usually perform while being well 'social distanced'. (pipe organ work is kinda a 'team sport' sometimes, but I usually only need one more person to help, if I'm not working alone, who is seated well away from me)
No 'stay at home' mandates here, nor even a 'mask' mandate <groan> so I also still havta maintain trips to Kroger's/etc. Thankfully, like Ms.CrystalShip, our climate remains hospitable for the evening dog walks...?
Freiheit I really like your idea of hanging your necklaces like that. Looks very nice!
