Hello everyone!
As you all know by now, I'm a big fan of Pierre Chenet bronze sculptures and have several in my collection. I just added this Pierre Chenet bronze pug sculpture to my collection. This one is signed on the rear quarter (pic #4) and stamped with the foundry's crown on the bottom. I'm always amazed at the detailing Chenet put into his sculptures. Though Pierre Chenet sculpted far more than just rabbits, hares and dogs. The rabbits , hares and dogs just happen to be my favorites. This one measures 10" long, 5" tall and 4 1/2" at his widest point.
Pierre CHENET is an artist from northern France who creates magnificent sculptures since the early 1970s. He uses his own technique, known as "acid patina" which gives his bronzes a unique color. Each sculpture is unique by its color. His sculptures are always stamped with the crown symbol of his foundry.
Thanks very much for stopping in to view my Pierre Chenet pug sculpture!
