Six years ago I posted here a pair of enameled vases designed by Carl Schmoll von Eisenwerth for the Poschinger Glassworks Buchenau and exhibited at the World Fair in Paris in 1900.

Two years ago I was happy to share a new sample of my Poschinger glass collection, also belonging to the pieces exhibited in Paris 1900. This time a design by Julius Dietz, a Munich artist of the time.

Now the collector's luck was with me a third time and I was able to acquire another vase from the collection for the Paris World's Fair in 1900. It was also designed by Julius Dietz and bears a wonderful engraved and gilded ornament with stylized tendrils. The designs of Julius Dietz are exceptional and have, to my knowledge, never been copied by others. Although they originate from the Art Nouveau style, they seem timeless to us today.
I have arranged the three vases as shown in the original photo from the magazine "Deutsche Kunst und Dekoration", issue 11/1900. I hope you like the juxtaposition with a 120 year span.

Thank you all for the loves and comment. Maybe I'll discover a fourth vase. Then I like to rearrange. You never know...
