OldRedTrac…
(1 item)
I want to use this image for a Christmas card (yes, I know it's getting late so I'd better hurry up). But I wanted to say a few words about the plow. I've seen it pulled behind a McCormick-Deering 10-20 tractor but I don't know when these plows were produced or what year this one might be. It is missing a few parts and is in retirement, holding up my address at the end of the driveway. What I know about it is that it's a McCormick-Deering 2-bottom plow on steel, would have been tractor-pulled since it has no seat, and that's about it. Looks to have been red or orange. Sorry for all the snow, this is the best pic I have at the moment. If you know anything about these old plows or similar ones, please share. I thank you in advance.

Thanks, CW for putting this in the correct category. I've found a little more info on the plough: They were pulled behind tractors made in the late 1920s and 1930s and still in use as late as the 1950s. They were probably a little faster than horses but not by much. Personally, I'd rather have the horse for company out in the middle of a big, open field.
