The view inside my studio features a lot of the things that sparked my imagination when I was a young boy.
That big poster is from The Third Eye, Inc.,
who produced a cool series of backlight posters using art lifted right from the pages of Marvel Comics.
The Wonderful World of the Fantastic Four by Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott is my favorite.
The brilliant fluorescent re-coloring really riveted my attention back in 1971.
    -
RAW and Pantheon magazine's 1980 point-of-sale poster with "Comix Factory" cover by Joost Swarte is just a masterpiece of European comic book design, giving us a rare glimpse into how comic books are REALLY created.
I love the tag line: "COMIX - PUTTING THE LITTER BACK INTO LITERACY." It still makes me laugh.
    -
Nearby are a few of my favorite comic books, including the first Spider-Man comic I ever read in 1969, a Jim Steranko Hulk cover for FOOM magazine, my favorite Doom Patrol cover, Dick Ayers' chock-full-of-blurbs Ghost Rider cover, the 1st issue of The Shadow by Michael Wm. Kaluta and several key issues of The Fantastic Four!
Like fragile paper time capsules, each one of these books brings back a specific memory of where I got it, what I was doing at the time and the simple thrill of enjoying the amazing art and story for the first time!
It makes me happy every time I look at these walls.

The Fantastic Four was one of my favorites! The movies really screwed it up, should've been way better!

Yeah, dav2no1, they've had 4 chances to get it right and every one of them failed miserably.
Now that Marvel Studios has regained the rights to them from 20th Century Fox, who really dropped the ball, maybe we'll get a GOOD movie featuring the REAL Fantastic Four we all know and love sometime in the next few years.
It's already in the early planning stages as we speak (type)!

West End is where I got that Captain Marvel comic with the green Gene Colan cover and I rode my bike there to get it!

One of my favorites was vs the Four Horsemen!

And another comic that started out with the Thing is in a trench coat and hat..he's just out for a peaceful walk and a guy tries to mug him...it's clobbering time!
