He has such a strange tail- like a squirrel maybe? Anyway, I love the going to charge(or...rut?) kinda look. :P
He's so icy looking- he'd make a really nice centerpiece for the holiday table décor I think
This is simply outstanding Jenni!
I've got a deer here I bought about 10 years ago as Murano but I'm pretty sure it's from China. Nowhere near the quality of this beauty.
Many thanks everybody for the kind love

Lauren thank you so much for your fab comment, I think that is a great idea to use this golden deer as a Christmas centerpiece on say a red or green tableau, very creative thought! I had to agree the tail looks rather long for a deer then I wiki'd the whitetail type, their tails can be a bit long. However, Murano animals frequently take artistic license and make unusual animals in unreal shapes, so perhaps they got a bit carried away here
Thank you Scott for the wonderful compliment, he is a pretty extraordinary deer! When Murano makes an all gold piece though it photographs pale, it's too bad the pix don't show how sparkly the gold accents are - as they say, you have to see it :)
Karen your deer sounds lovely I hope you will post it. Actually many countries do Murano style pieces, including China and Russia - I had a beautiful blue-green sommerso shark from Russia that I have misplaced since moving (natch), you could swear it had the Italian Murano look. I got this Murano deer online awhile ago, it is definitely vintage 50s with those aventurine streaks in the antlers, and has been attributed to Alfredo Barbini but without a label I can't be sure, though I have seen similar aventurine deer by Barbini and perhaps someone here will know better. Thank you for your gracious compliment glad you enjoyed this big guy
Thanks so much for the "reindeer" love
