Art Nouveau German? Wall Clock. Was sold as Gustav Becker, but it isn’t. So can anyone identify the maker? There is a B on the back. Runs great- actually pretty quiet. Should I clean the metal, is that copper? About 26”x 16”.

Made by Kraft Behrens in Leipzig . 1900 to 1910 . Most of these used brass on the case trim . Polish if you must . Use silver polish on the dial VERY CAREFULLY .

My advice would be to try using Cream of Tartar on the silver dial and nothing abrasive at all.

Thanks so much slackjack and Bruce99! I'm not touching the dial or face. I just wanted to bring up the dark stain on the bottom metal trim piece a little bit. Maybe on a day when I wake up with a lot of confidence, patience, and energy. Otherwise I enjoy all the signs of age. Thanks so much for identifying. Now I don't have to call it the "Not Gustav Becker" Clock.
