    I was told this was a syrup/sap sled but I can’t find anything like it online. Anyone know what this is??

      The only thing i can agree with for sure in your description, is the sled part, as it does indeed look sled-ish. Now if i had to describe the rest of it to a blind man, i would say, appears to be a TRIGGER Device, made from wood, with a tapered stick for varied pressure activation. You need to give us a bit more info and we WILL SOLVE IT !

      Consider the possibility that it is a cheese press.
      My grandmother made farmer's cheese with something similar. Send the dimensions!
