Metal Shepard Door Stop
Approximately 4 3/4" tall
Picked this up for a couple bucks at the thrift store. The right ear had a pinched spot and sharp spots in the metal. I used some files and knocked it down and shaped it as best I could. It's still missing a little material, but looks way better than it did
Last picture are my adopted(July & August) Belgium malinois shepherds. The male is on the left(Ueli) and female(Sansa). The Woof project named them. I just decided to keep their names. They are a handful and then some! I had to extend my chain link fence to 8 feet. They just jumped right over the 5 foot fence.
They look like trouble. Lucky they are not climbers or don't learn to be.
It's a dandy!! We too have a German Shedder, I mean German Shepherd:) She's the smartest and best behaved of our dogs. Very loyal as well.
Oh no..they can climb..and over 5 ft vertical leap..man! I have a large covered kennel..had to add more material all the way to the roof. They figured out they could push their dog house to the edge and climb out.
Well, hopefully, if they get out, they will stay in the area instead of going "yondering". They sound like good candidates for microchiping. I agree with keeping the names they knew. Too many people treat their animal friends like toys.
Fabulous German shepherd doorstop, it's really a beauty. And congrats on your new pets, shepherds are the smartest dog breed & definitely a handful :)
I've owned pure bred German shepherds in the past. These dogs are insanely smart. Both microchipped, licensed and we went through the neuter, spay ordeal.
The female doesn't like other dogs walking by. The fence guy messed up and didn't put new hardware on street side fence..dog saw people walking dog, ran at gate..slid into the gate..and it failed! Gate popped open..and yeah...I will just say, on top of the $4200 in fence work, I had tonpay a $2300 vet bill for their dog. These dogs do not go in the yard alone.
Our pure bred German Shepard used this yard years ago. Never had a problem. These malinois just popped over the 5 ft chain link like it was nothing!
Sansa, the female..her foster family had DNA tests done. She is a rare Blue malinois and a pure bred. Not sure why they called it blue, since she's brown.
Amazing how similar these are to mine except for the hollow. I'm sure you feel very secure with these body guards around ! :)
