The J.M. might be the Jewelry & Metal Company.
It looks to be a hound in front of an Irish round tower.
Symbols of Irish hope. Missing the harp.

Need some help with the Gaelic inscription on the back.
PEIL is football ... Gaelic football and the name of a football magazine in the 1960's.
Brilliant thank you so much. Neil
I'm guessing the fob is a memento of a winning season, or membership in a club. I suggest you use the google translate app to help to find out what it says.
Thanks again vetraio50 for the love and information and plein-air-painter for your comment. Also huge xmas thanks to;
dav2no1, aura, jscott0363, Vynil33rpm, kwqd, RichmondLori, Watchsearcher, fortapache and Jenni for the loves. Happy Christmas to all at CW. Neil
I'm having a problem with another hallmark. The makers mark on two fobs is CU both with Birmingham (anchor) assay marks. Gone through all the normal channels so I wonder if anyone can help. Neil
