Group of Birds, ranging in height from 7 - 14 centimeters. They seem to be carved from hard soapstone, or a soapstone-like material. (The best view of the raw material is in photos of the undersides.) Some birds have fine cross-hatching. Wing designs and eyes are etched into the surface. I'd be grateful for any ideas about the origin and era. THANK YOU!
