Ceramic, hard ceramic with glossy red glazing. This seems to have been designed as a wall-mounted decoration, as there are two holes on the bracket on the backside. There is another hole in the arm. Was there originally a spear? Or was this intended to be an incense burner? There is a painted inscription on the back, which I cannot decipher, as I'm not even sure which side is up or down... see photos. I know this piece dates at least from 1970 as it appears in photos from that year. Height: 31.75 cm. • Width: 16.51 cm. • Depth: 8.89 cm.
