Some miscellaneous butter crocks

I was making pancakes for breakfast this morning, as I do every morning, and reached up in my kitchen cabinet to get my favorite size Pyrex mixing bowl for this purpose and started a small landslide on that shelf. When I looked to see what it was, I saw that it was a couple of my "French" butter crocks. Still not really well known in the U.S. I often used to find these in thrift shops and people didn't know what they were and I had to do some research to figure it out, myself. I don't use dairy products anymore, but for several years used the blue and brown crock on the extreme right of the first image. I also used the one on the left a few times but never used the white one as I am pretty certain it was made in China. Luckily nothing was broken and since they were out of the cabinet, I thought I would post them.

Left to right in first image:

Left: I think this was made by Classic Line Pottery of Boise, Idaho. It is marked "CLP" on the bottom. It is ceramic, maybe porcelain. I could not find a web presence for this pottery, so it may no longer exist.

Middle: Butter Bell made for L. Tremain in China. Made of bone china. I never use anything made in China for food use, even for my pets, as I do not trust their quality control. A set of dishes I bought years ago turned out to have some issues with harmful metals leaching from the glaze, so I threw away anything made in China used in my kitchen and replaced all of it with American made equivalents from thrift shops. I would not have bought this if I had known it was made in China, but I don't use it so haven't discarded it. It may end up in the trash one day.

Right: Made in Hot Springs, Arkansas by Fox Pass Pottery. It is indistinctly signed on the bottom. Stoneware. A great piece of pottery and I always enjoyed using it.
