This rug has been in my family for 50 years. I'm sure it's older than that.No one in my family remembers where it came from.Any clues??

Looks like some kind of Turkish rug - a portion of it anyways.
Hi there,
this appears to be a fragment of a longer rug. This was woven in the Kazak area of the southern Russian caucuses. I believe they call this pattern the Eagle pattern.
