This was my father's knife but he never know anything about it. I am now trying to find any info I can about it but I'm coming up short. People have told me it's possibly a Sheffield but I can't find any matches. The stamp on the blade says "C'WHITTEMORE", "CAST-STEEL". I have searched on many combinations of this stamp without any hits pertaining to knives. Any info on this knife would be appreciated.
5.5" blade, 12" overall length when open.
    Thanks!

I always assumed that the scales were wood but on further inspection I believe they are either bone or antler.

Hi, I owned a similar Knife years ago but mine had a straight blade that slid through the handle and locked , it was similarly made to yours and if i remember it was from Finland or that area and the name on the blade was from the family as they made them together and put there name on the blade ,and or given to a son as coming of age , I am not an expert but am quite sure your knife is a similar craftsmanship to the one I owned , I wish I would have kept .Good luck
