Bought this jar of what they say are porcelain marbles. I bought them because I thought that they were unique. Still got the as found dirt on them:)

Now, that's something you won't see everyday! These are a wonderful find!
I found several of these while digging in my yard a few years ago. I think they were once pretty common.
How did they get the different colors I wonder?

The fly in this ointment is that Atlanta did not exist until 1847 and there was nothing there before 1836.
That being said, the town where I live was founded in 1822 and I live a few blocks from downtown. There were buildings around where I live not long after though my house was built in 1883.

These marbles were made into the early 1900's.
