    This corvette is very similar to the 1968 model year corvette in overall shape. However if you look closer, you can see the intricate details which set them apart. On the 78’ we have solid roof panels which cannot be removed. Double review mirrors as oppose to the singular mirror on the 68’ also, the car has a huge rear windshield and has gotten rid of the classic chrome bumpers which we can see on the 68’ as well. This model is in great shape, no issues. I notice that of all the models in my collection (1/24 scale that is) this model seems to be the heaviest, which is probably due to the fact that franklin mint had the chassis and floor panels cast in die cast metal, just like the body. Most other cars have either a complete, or at least partially plastic undercarriage. No case, no tag.

      And don't forget..after 1972, there were no chrome bumpers..all plastic junk.

      Yes I totally agree! You can see that in the 86’ model year especially which i just uploaded. But at the time, that stuff seemed to be all the rage!
